IPPI cards
IPPI (International Pilot Proficiency Information) cards are internationally recognised evidence of pilot rating and have five levels, with IPPI 5 being the highest. They are generally issued by your national association (e.g. the BHPA in the UK). Some countries and some sites require you to present one to be legally allowed to fly. Once you have one it is valid only with a current valid national rating card. You can find more information about IPPI cards on the FAI website.
FAI Sporting Licenses
FAI Sporting Licenses are required to enter FAI-sanctioned competitions, but have nothing to do with flying abroad.
